Liechtenstein

One of Europe's smallest countries, Liechtenstein, is squeezed in between Switzerland and Austria in the Alps. My girlfriend Felicia and I went there to celebrate Valentine's Day. Since we had enjoyed Andorra, which is another one of the smallest countries, with similar landscape since it's also squeezed in between mountains, we had high hopes. But it was a total disappointment, Schaan which is the biggest city, just had a road going through it, and nothing more than that. Only 6000 rich people live in the city and you can tell because the vibe is so boring. We were just going to be there for the day and I'm so thankful for that, because I wish we never went there at all.




The closest we got to romance was when Felicia got a rose at the pharmacy. I wasn't the best company this day either because I was cranky since I hadn't eaten for the whole day. When I finally ate a falafel plate, that also tasted surprisingly good, my mood got better and I thought we better leave boring Liechtenstein quickly so that I can continue to be happy. We went just over the border to the train station in Buchs, Switzerland to continue our trip with a night train to Slovenia but I will tell you all about that at another time!




* Best things about Liechtenstein – the kindness of the few people we met, and while Felicia will probably say that the coconut latte was the best taste experience, I will always cherish the falafel plate, the view of the church with the mountains behind it was also beautiful

* Most mediocre thing about Liechtenstein – I can't say that I hate it, because there's nothing there, so there's nothing to hate, it's just dull and a pointless country to visit


* Worst things about Liechtenstein – why is it even a country? it should just become a part of Switzerland or Austria in my opinion

 Hello Africa! Tell me how you're doin'? My friend Karl-Henrik and I arrived in Marrakech in Morocco at night after a long day of flying with a stopover in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Egypt

After my horrendous first trip to Africa when I went to Morocco, the worst country I've visited so far, I wasn't looking forward to travel to Egypt anymore. This was the first time I had no enthusiasm for going travelling and when we got there I could see the same poverty as in Morocco. Even though it was 04.00 in the morning and hard to see that much when going through the outskirts of the capital Cairo to go to Giza where the pyramids are located in the Sahara Desert. My friend Andreas and I would be staying at a hotel right in front of one of the seven wonders of the world but it was so dark when we got there and we were so tired, that all I could see was a top of one of the pyramids in the distance before we entered the hotel and got a room with a view of a wall in front of our window. The receptionist said there had been a crazy man staying in the room that was supposed to be ours so they needed to renovate it before we would be able to stay there, so we would have to stay

Poland

Me and my mute girlfriend Felicia went on a cruise from Karlskrona in Sweden to Gdynia in Poland to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. She isn't really mute but this time around she was because she was so sick that she couldn't speak. It was a weird and frustrating feeling not to be able to communicate with her but as soon as we arrived in Poland, she got a bit better at least! The boat trip wasn't that nice, it felt like a boat that had been left behind from the 80's and maybe not cleaned since then. And drunk Swedish men spoke openly about going to Poland to have sex with prostitutes. When we arrived in the harbour of Gdynia we were met by a gray fog called Poland. We had just one day to see the three cities of Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk that have grown together as one. We quickly left Gdynia for Sopot by train, and the train was like a time machine to the 90s, with the guys dressing in 90's fashion like bomber jackets and the girls wearing tiny skirts even th
